3-Day Family Getaway: a quick escape with the kids to make memories that would last a lifetime!
Day 1: Arrival + Easy Outdoor Fun
Afternoon
Check into The Parkman Hotel in 1 or 2 double Queen rooms with patios
Walk or drive along the Little River (super accessible and kid-friendly)
Optional: tubing or just wading in shallow areas at The Y.
Dinner (family-friendly + highly rated):
Peaceful Side Social – big outdoor space + kids playscape, great pizza/tacos vibe
Ice cream next door after dinner
Evening
Hotel pool / pickleball
Sunset views from your room or patio
Day 2: Cades Cove + Classic Eats
Morning
Early drive into Cades Cove (best wildlife viewing)
Bring bikes or rent → loop ride is flat and family-friendly
Lunch
Apple Valley Cafe – fast, good sandwiches + outdoor seating
Afternoon
Stop at scenic pull-offs
Head back to hotel → relax by pool, play games on the lawn
Dinner
Riverstone Family Restaurant – classic Southern comfort food, very family-oriented
Day 3: Chill & Explore the mountains
Morning
Visit Tuckaleechee Caverns (huge underground cave system, very memorable for kids)
Lunch
Burger Master Drive-In – classic roadside burgers + shakes, very popular
Afternoon
Easy hike: Laurel Falls or similar beginner trails
Optional: Townsend bike path (flat, safe, scenic)
Dinner
The Abbey – riverfront seating + yard games for kids
Day 4: Dollywood add-on!
Morning
Grab a quick breakfast at Townsend Coffee and head to Dollywood for a fun fille day of rollercoasters and shows!
